It is a crucial time to write a book on soul purification for several reasons.

Firstly, the concept of purifying the soul is central to Islam and essential for the well-being of humans in this life and the Hereafter. It has been a primary mission of the messengers and prophets.

Secondly, there is a strong need to elucidate the correct path of purification as outlined in the Quran and Sunnah without the influence of foreign ideas, deviations, and heresies that have infiltrated the religion and caused harm. The path described in the Quran and Sunnah is the only one that can lead to true purification of the soul, in line with the purpose of human creation. Therefore, any discussion on soul purification must heavily rely on the Quran and Sunnah.

Thirdly, many Muslims are being influenced by secular, materialistic psychology, causing neglect of the spiritual aspect of humans and overlooking the guidance Islam provides for soul purification. This influence sometimes occurs on a subconscious level.
